There are almost as many ways of working with data as there are companies. The challenge was building something that could handle all those variations—while still feeling simple and intuitive for the user.
We always try to start with real, everyday needs—what people actually need to get done, not what just looks good on paper. Then we test a lot, early and often. Most of the time it’s more about removing unnecessary steps than adding more features. Fewer clicks is always better.
In reconciliations, we can display the value from a report side-by-side with the balance from, say, an accounting account. That way you can instantly see if they match—without even opening the report. It’s especially helpful when reconciling an accounts receivable list, where you have both the account balance and the detailed specification.
Mainly the time saved. Things that used to take hours or even days can now be done in a fraction of that. And that frees up energy for the fun and important part—analysis.
